New York City Council
Location:
Brooklyn Borough Hall
209 Joralemon Street
United States
Description:

As evidenced by the widespread problems that occurred in the wake of last month's blizzard, the City's response and clean-up efforts were not anywhere near up to the standards that New Yorkers are accustomed to.

This is unacceptable.

To help city government better understand what went wrong and what we need to do to prevent such problems from happening again, the NYC Council has scheduled hearings around the five boroughs to provide as many New Yorkers as possible an opportunity to weigh in and share their snow-related concerns. A hearing will be held at Brooklyn Borough Hall on Wednesday, January 19 at 6:00 PM.

It's important for elected officials to hear from residents and local leaders especially about the difficulties that people experienced during and after the blizzard, and the City Council encourages everyone to attend these borough hearings.

Depending on the number of people who show up, oral testimony will be limited to two to three minutes so that everyone has a chance to speak. Written testimony may be any length, just please be sure to bring 15 copies.
