Description:

The New York State Assembly will hold a hearing on Mayor Bloomberg's plan to relocate the homeless men's intake center from Bellevue to the Bedford-Atlantic Armory Shelter in Brooklyn.

The plan has been widely criticized by local elected officials and citywide homeless advocacy groups as being both insensitive to the existing density of homeless facilities in Community Board 8 as well as to the needs of homeless men in other boroughs.

A press rally led by CHRM will be held shortly before the hearing in front of 250 Broadway.
