Community Board 8 is seeking public comments on the proposal to reduce street cleaning days throughout the District. Currently, the Dept. of Sanitation cleans the street 4 times a week, and the reduction would scale the cleaning to twice a week.
Your input is needed. Verbal testimony will be limited to 3 minutes per person; written testimony can also be submitted to the Board. This is just one part of an extensive process to have ASP regulations in the District reduced.
As this is something that will affect many things in the District, including utility service delivery and snow removal during winter months, it is imperative that we receive feedback from those that will be directly affected: the residents of District 8. The item will be voted on at an upcoming Community Board 8 general meeting after review of all comments submitted, feedback from utility companies, and other information.
