The Friends of Underhill Playground

Purpose:

To preserve, protect, and promote responsible care and use of Underhill Playground in cooperation with the staff and leadership of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. Goals:

To support and preserve Underhill Playground as a clean and safe place for children to play
To involve the community and promote understanding and acceptance of others
To provide an environment where parents, grandparents, caregivers, and children can relax and interact

Membership:

Membership is through the Yahoo Group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/underhillplayground/. Everyone from the community is encouraged to join. To date we have 129 member families.

Meetings:

The first community meeting was held on May 17th at the Underhill Playground. Community meetings will held monthly from May - November to coincide with our monthly breakfast. They will be announced via the Yahoo Group and posters at the playground. The elected boards meets monthly, tentatively scheduled every 3rd Tuesday of the month.
