P.S. 9 registration begins for fall 2008 school year

Registration for new P.S. 9 students entering in the fall of 2008 will begin on Monday, March 24.

In order to register your child, you must live within the P.S. 9 zone, and bring the following:

Your child
Your valid NYS Photo Identification Card
Your child’s birth certificate
Your child’s Immunization Card (up-to-date)
Proof of Address: A utility light bill or gas bill; your current W-2 form; a current correspondence from your insurance company; a letter from Housing; a letter from the Social Security Office. No leases, telephone bills, cable bills or notarized letters will be accepted as proof of address.

Kindergarten and Grade 1

Children born in 2003 are eligible for Kindergarten registration
Children born in 2002 are eligible for First Grade registration

Pre-kindergarten

Children born in 2004 are eligible for Pre-Kindergarten registration

Parents may pick up a new centralized Pre-K application and directory from the P.S. 9 main office. The completed application must be mailed in the envelope provided by April 11, 2008.
